Betteshanger Visitor Centre

Our role was to execute a total electrical installation, encompassing various crucial components such as power, lighting, fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV, intruder alarm systems, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and distribution.

The Betteshanger Visitor Centre is a brand new facility aimed at providing an immersive and educational experience for visitors.

Planning and Design

During the initial phase, our team collaborated closely with Quinn Estates and other stakeholders to understand the project requirements and objectives. We conducted a comprehensive site survey to assess the existing infrastructure and identify any potential challenges. This phase also involved developing an electrical design plan that aligned with the architectural and functional aspects of the visitor centre.

Installation and Integration

With the design approved, the installation phase commenced. Our skilled electricians executed the electrical works, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. We installed a robust power supply system to cater to the facility's needs, including lighting fixtures, power outlets, and HVAC requirements.

The fire alarm system was placed throughout the visitor centre, integrating with the building's overall fire safety infrastructure. We implemented an access control system to manage visitor entry and exit, ensuring a secure and controlled environment.

To enhance security, we integrated a comprehensive CCTV system, providing surveillance coverage across key areas of the visitor centre. Additionally, an intruder alarm system was installed to safeguard against unauthorised access or potential threats.

The project also involved the installation of a PV system, which harnesses solar energy to power certain areas of the visitor centre. This sustainable energy solution aligned with the facility's commitment to environmental conservation.

Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

In the final phase, our team conducted thorough testing and commissioning procedures to ensure the seamless operation of all electrical components. We performed comprehensive inspections, functional tests, and safety checks to guarantee that the installed systems were functioning optimally.

Upon successful completion of the testing phase, we coordinated with Quinn Estates to finalise the handover process. We provided detailed documentation, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and maintenance guidelines, to assist the facility management team in the long-term maintenance and operation of the electrical systems.
