Ramsgate Fire Station

This project included the development of a new fire station, training centre, training house, and training tower.

In December 2017, our company was contracted by Morgan Sindall to provide Electrical Services for the construction of Ramsgate Fire Station.

Planning and Design

The planning and design phase of the project involved close collaboration with Morgan Sindall and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop comprehensive electrical solutions. Our team conducted site surveys, assessed existing infrastructure, and analysed the electrical load requirements. This information was used to create detailed electrical designs, ensuring optimal placement and integration of various systems.

To comply with relevant regulations and standards, we worked closely with fire safety consultants and the local authority. This collaboration ensured that the electrical systems met all safety and operational requirements.

Installation and Integration

We coordinated with other contractors to ensure timely completion of electrical installations, minimising disruptions to the overall construction schedule.

We seamlessly installed the following electrical services: small power & lighting, fire alarms, disabled refuge system, data, access control, CCTV, intruder alarm, lightning protection systems, solar PV, backup generator, turnout system, mains TPN distribution, containment systems, high bay lighting and power distribution, external lighting columns and bollards.

Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

Once the installations were complete, our team conducted comprehensive testing and commissioning of all electrical systems. This involved functional testing, performance verification, and system integration testing to ensure that the installed systems operated as intended. Any issues identified during testing were promptly addressed and rectified.

Upon successful testing and commissioning, we proceeded with the handover phase. We provided comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, test certificates, and operation manuals, to the client. Training sessions were conducted to familiarise the operational staff with the newly installed electrical systems. We ensured that all systems were handed over in full compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
